You should know what makes an insightful tweet, how stories spread across the web, and how to make original content that turns heads. You might have a background in journalism, blogging, vlogging or tweeting. You might have experience in statistics or market research. You might have no experience at all – we’re looking for bright people who have a head for tech and a heart for culture. You’ll have to get your hands dirty with data, and be excited by finding stories in numbers. We need you to have: Excellent writing skills. Basic image editing skills and an eye for design. Ability to deliver at pace (aka hustle). Ability to work in a self-directed way. Ability to research and write stories as they break – at times, outside of work hours.We’re looking for someone to drive the success of Brandwatch React: a data-focused, pop-culture orientated wing of our content marketing with a life of its own. The brand enjoys 1000s of social shares a week and is featured in mainstream media on a daily basis. Acting as a one-person editorial team but working with other contributors, you’ll be doing research and writing original stories on a daily basis, then spreading the word on social media as far as you can. You’ll be using the Brandwatch social intelligence platform to research your stories. Social data is powerful: our most successful stories this year have ranged from “What do people want to do to Taylor Swift?” to “Was Windows 10 a success?” to “Who will win the next election?”. Key Responsibilities: - Use the Brandwatch social listening platform to conduct social media research on trending, broad-appeal topics. Working with the VP of Inbound Marketing to create and develop a strategy around the React brand Write timely data-focused articles on a daily basis. Plan and execute strategy for @bw_react Twitter account. Identify live tweeting opportunities, conducting real-time analysis to inject into the public discourse. Assist social media team by creating charts, graphs and stats for social sharing. Assist public relations team by condensing research into briefs, developing relationships with journalists and producing verbal contributions for articles. Assist content team on other blog and copy duties. Assist sales teams with ad-hoc analysis when needed. Collaborate with design and website teams to produce live data visualisations.
