As a part of WNYC's Data News Team, you will work hand-in-hand with reporters, producers and editors to build news visualizations and interactive projects produced by WNYC News, The Brian Lehrer Show, New Jersey Public Radio and other news/information services of New York Public Radio. You will work as part of an agile team and be integrated with the product-design and developer staffs of New York Public Radio as a whole. Responsibilities: Participate in conceiving data news visualizations and interactives. Develop storyboards, mockups, prototypes and finished visuals and interactives. Assist with ongoing development to improve the look/feel and experience of WNYC News and editorial content, including building data tools and guidelines for journalists. Engage in local and open-source communities for data visualization and news-application design Maintain awareness of industry trends in technology, data news, design and media.
