VI creates impactful tools highlighting critical social issues around the world. The interdisciplinary VI team is based in Beirut. The information architecture is responsible for creating structures – such as wireframes – that support effective communication. You must have the skills to turn complex data and information into compelling visuals. Relevant backgrounds include architecture and user-centered design. Job level and position scope: This is a mid-level position. The job is a full time position based on a two-month trial period, after which a longterm contract will be discussed. Responsibilities: 1. Taking complex information and data in compelling visual directions; 2. Carrying out exploratory research; 3. Collating, analysing, plotting, and mapping data to understand and explain a topic; 4. Producing visual story concepts in the form of sketches, text, and visual wireframes; 5. Liaising with researchers and creative project managers to maintain a vision of the project, refine data, and answer specific questions; 6. Liaising with designers to transform wireframes into final visuals – infographics, motion graphics, websites, etc.; 7. Examining websites with an eye for the user’s experience; 8.
