Calm under pressureWe’re looking for a Graphic Artist, Data Visualisation to generate high quality information graphics and data visualisations for news focused on the Guardian’s Global Development site. You will work with the Global Development team to conceive of and build graphics and interactive experiences that help readers better understand trends and stories affecting the world’s poorest people. Responsibilities will include: Graphically present and explain the news and stories about Global Development via data visualisation, primarily across digital platforms but with occasional contributions to print. Look for opportunities to tell stories in new and different ways by visualising data. Serve as an in-house expert in the proper use of data and data visualisation. Help build and maintain the Guardian’s tool set for managing data and data visualisation. Effectively liaise with reporters, editors, picture staff and research on news stories and stand-alone graphics. Use imagination and flair to ensure high standards of design and visual reporting are maintained and developed.Applyhttp://theguardian.comNo
